Donald Trump is planning a second try at getting approval for a basement underneath his planned banquet hall at Long Island's Jones Beach.

A state Department of State panel said no last week to the basement, which has sparked concerns about flooding and erosion. The billionaire developer said then that the decision would delay the planned Trump on the Ocean by years.

But agency officials now say Trump can reapply for permission. He and partner Steve Carl say they'll submit a new request with some additional information. Read more
