Let's face it, we have all had days like that at the track when it seemed like the best way to pick a winner was to find out what our friends liked and bet against them. One thing I have learned is that people who have some kind of method and stick to it generally do better, though sometimes they are still sticking to a losing system. But almost any system is better than no system at all. The old saying, "Those who fail to plan, plan to fail," is certainly true in betting on the horses or dogs. So the key is to find a system and stick to it, right?
