A Trump casino, and other wild ideas

"We've never been approached, and it's difficult to comment on something that we've never been approached with"

Phil Ruffin wants to build a casino in downtown Wichita and have Donald Trump run it.

Ruffin, the billionaire owner of Wichita Greyhound Park, owns the New Frontier Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and is a partner with Trump in two luxury condo towers there.

He also owns lots of office buildings, including the vacant 110,000-square-foot Douglas Place on the southeast corner of Broadway and Douglas.

He said he would have to buy out the other property owners on the block, including the Kansas Health Foundation. Read more
